Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know
The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently coming. That would be a good addition when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
This is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you commit.
